Julian Schwarz, cello, performs the Vivaldi Concerto for 2 cellos in G minor,
with SSO's Principal ‘cellist Joshua Roman.

July-Aug 2007 Interlochen Summer Arts Camp
Daniel Miller, composer, violin, voice, was accepted as one of only 10 young
composers to attend the 2 month program as a composition major.

July 12, 7 PM Seattle Chamber Music Festival's Emerging Artists Concert,
McKay Chapel, Lakeside School, featuring violinists: Winners/Performers:

We learned May 20 that Bellevue Christian Church does not allow wine to be served.

Timothy Krippner, piano, Winner. Performed 1st movement of the Grieg Piano
Concerto with the Spokane Symphony, and received a standing ovation.

May 16th, Anton G. Rubinstein International Piano Competition
Timothy Krippner, qualified for the 1st round in Sept.go be held in Dresden, Germany.

May 13, Alumnus, Camden Shaw (cello), Curtis Institute, performed with
Regina Yeh, pianist, at Brechemin Aud., UW.

May 12, Nordstrom Recital Hall
Patrick Austin, violin (Kent Coleman), Ruth Mar (harp) performed the
Fantaisie for violin and harp.

May 12, Seattle Young Artists Music Festival Concerto Winners Concert
Kane Hall, UW. Winners performed w/Philharmonia Northwest, Roupen Shakarian,
Music Director. 4 of the 6 concerto winners are Academy students.

Patrick Austin won the competition and will play the entire Barber Concerto with
them next season (2007-08).

April 23, SSO Young Composer Workshop Performance
Daniel Miller and Michael Matlock were accepted again in the annual
Seattle Symphony Young Composer Workshop, conducted by SSO's
Resident Composer, Samuel Jones. Pieces were performed at the concert.

Apr 18 Sammamish Symphony Concerto winner
Julian Schwarz, cello, (Toby Saks) performs Dvorak Concerto for Cello and
Orchestra.

Apr 9-14 Performing Arts Festival Eastside (PAFE)
Nyan Gadepalli, piano (Joan Schoepflin) Honorable mention.

April 3 KSER: Composer, Daniel Miller was interviewed & his music played
on Public Radio by Chris Wartes.

Corey Roberts, alto (Lisa Rogers Lee) 2nd Place for Music Theatre Junior Div.

Mar 27-28 MTNA National Competition in Toronto, Canada
Grace Choi, violin (Kent Coleman) was named 3rd best HS violinist in the nation.
Patrick Austin, violin (Kent Coleman) HS senior had to compete in the adult division
because of his birthdate, and still received rave reviews and a private cash award.

Melissa Plagemann (mezzo soprano/pianist) - AMN Singer's Program
Won $1000.00 prize and voice lessons with Jane Eaglen in Seattle.
Nov. 2006 Performed the role of Nicklause with Bellevue Opera’s production
of Offenbach's "Tales of Hoffmann".
Dec.2006 sang the alto solos in Handel's Messiah with Bellevue Philharmonic
at Kirkland Performance Center; the alto solos in Bach's Magnificat with
Orchestra Seattle and the Seattle Chamber Singers, at Meany Hall.
Feb.2007 sang in Early Music Guild's Accademia d'Amore.
April 2007 invited to audition and became a member of the Seattle Opera
Chorus.
April 2007: Seattle Puppet Theatre: narrator and lead role of "Alcina" in
"The Liberation of Ruggiero from the Island of Alcina ".
July&Aug 2007 invited to participate in Banff Center Opera Theatre program,
singing in the premier of a new Canadian opera. Private voice studio.

Feb 2007, performed with the orchestra in the EMG Baroque Opera
"Accademia d'Amore". Performed new works by Bern Herboslheimer at St. Marks
Cathedral; SAM re-opening weekend in May performs with Seattle Baroque
Orchestra & Baroque dancers works by Handel, Purcell.
Performs w/regional operas, symphonies, chamber music ensembles, & Seattle
