Academy Young Artists

Performance experience is key for the growth of all musicians. In addition to our weekly Performance Workshop, we offer students the opportunity to perform in our monthly recital series: Academy Young Artists. These concerts are held in venues around the Puget Sound area. Participation in the programs with the approval of Brianna Atwell, series curator.

Academy Presents

We inaugurated this concert series in April, 2010 with Bach: From Manuscript to Score, a program featuring world-renown violist Paul Coletti who performed the premiere of a reconstructed Bach viola concerto, the original of which has been lost. Mr. Coletti played with members of the Academy faculty, Academy alumni and students, and students from the Bellevue Interlake High School string program.

Academy and Interlake High School students rehearse with violist Paul Coletti.

In our 2010-11 year, we will continue with this exciting series, featuring performances by Academy faculty, as well as by guest artists from around the country.
